Should there be gun laws ?

A lot of people have guns, but do we really need laws to decide what we do with them? The definition of  gun control is when there is laws to restrict or limit gun use and sales. This has many real life consequences which resulted in death. A woman by the name of Bonnie Elmasri was one of these victims. She wanted to buy a handgun to protect herself and her kids from her husband. Her husband was abusive and threatened to kill them. She had to wait 48 hours until she could buy a gun, but she was already too late. Her two sons and herself were murdered the next day by her husband. So if the states, in 1992, that didn’t permit concealed carry, did permit it. They would have avoided 1,570 murders, 4,177 rapes, 60,000 aggravated assaults and 12,000 robberies. Also, according to Lotts study, areas that allow concealed carry, have less crime. This is due to the fear in criminals that anyone could be carrying a gun.
